As owner and operator of Famous Chili, David has always been involved in local charitable giving. For multiple decades now, David, through Famous Chili, has helped sponsor the local rodeo; offered meat, work, and time to provide food for charity dinners including the annual Immaculate Conception Spaghetti Supper; and supported various other one-off and repeat charitable events. David says he just likes to help people, just as his father Joseph Edward Korkames did.
Recently, reporter Jamie Mitchell from Times Record caught him in the act! Of course, David could not help but smile as he watched his 4 Star Chili being unloaded for donation to the Antioch Youth and Family Food Warehouse to support local residents in need.
